On September 12, 1983, Best Friends Daycare Center, LLC opened its doors with 12 children and one teacher. Founder/Owner Timothy R. Norris has a background in Psychology but had a passion for improving the community and developing quality early childhood education programs for children ages 6 weeks-12 years old. Tim has played every role in his centers including teacher, cook, janitor, you name it. Best Friends has now been providing childcare throughout central Pennsylvania in commercial, retail, and educational settings going on 40 years and continues to expand to offer our program to more families in our community. We are now located in 5 different buildings which include Childcare, Private Kindergarten, Before/After School Programs, and Summer Camps. We also run the Latchkey Before/After School programs for the West Shore School District.
Today Best Friends Daycare Centers, LLC cares for over 750 children and employs over 125 childcare providers. The company holds licenses from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
